The Doris I.
Crane Children's Department serves the younger members of the community.
We offer a vast collection of books and audio-visual materials, as well as
computers with Internet access and POWER Library for the students' use. In
addition, the William D. Berryman Reference Collection is a valuable source for
help with school assignments.
Story
hours and after school activities are held year-round in the Dr. Edwin L. Lyons
Activities Room. Story hours are conducted for the pre-school child, while
after school activities focus on the older members of the Children's Department.
Parents
and children can obtain their library card and check out materials in the
Children's Department or at the Adult Circulation Desk. All library
materials can be renewed over the phone or online. The children's staff is
always available to answer questions or provide assistance locating materials.
If
you would like more information about the services and activities offered in the
Children's Library, please contact Maryann Hovan, Children's Librarian, at 287-2013, ext. 5.
