SAVE OUR LIBRARIES

Public libraries are in danger of losing 50% of their public library subsidy from the state of Pennsylvania.  Please contact the governor, your state senator and representative to let them know that you support a non-reduction in public library funding.  Such services as hours, collection sizes and the Power Library databases will be reduced or cut if this public library subsidy reduction is passed.

If you don’t know your legislator’s name click below:  http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/legis/home/findyourlegislator/county_list.cfm?CNTYLIST=Luzerne
and type in your zip code in the upper right (“Find Members By Zip Code.”)  This will give you the name, address,
and an email address for your state senator and state representative.

This online database is an essential collection of unique material for both genealogical and historical researchers, with coverage dating back to the late 1700s. Researchers can use HeritageQuest Online to find their ancestors, trace their paths across America, and learn what life was like in the areas where they settled.
